The Struggle Is Real

I can say hands down this pregnancy has given me a run for my money!  I promised myself I would eat as healthy as I could and keep active during this pregnancy.  When I was pregnant with Jack I was put on pelvic rest early on which really meant I could just WALK!  I had such incredible swelling towards the end I couldn't even stand!

In this pregnancy I have eaten my share of CARBS, I have MISSED WORKOUTS and trust me I have been LESS THEN PERFECT!  My cravings this pregnancy have really been ice chips during my third trimester and no worries - no iron deficiencies here! They checked! :)  Thanks to my Shakeology I am actually on the HIGH END of iron!  

My first and second trimester proved to be the most challenging with insane food aversions.  I seriously couldn't [lan out food and what I wanted one minute I didn't want the next.  That lead to eating bland carb style foods.  NOT GOOD!

I am in my third trimester and have had heart burn his entire pregnancy.  Guess this baby will have a lot of hair right?  HA!  Food has still been a challenge for me but I am doing WAY better and sneaking in salads when I can.  

All In all I have taken this pregnancy day by day.  I eat as best as I can and do what my body allows me to do.  I am just so thankful that I could workout throughout this pregnancy and keep active.  It has made such a HUGE difference.  I feel better!  I look better!  My attitude is better!  I am setting examples for my little guy who is 3 years old!  If I miss a workout he tells me "Mommy you need to workout for the baby."  How awesome is that?  He gets it! :)

I want you all to remember regardless of where you are at in your journey you need to stay positive.  You might have 100+lbs to lose or you may have been struggling on and off for years to tighten that tummy from a c section.  Regardless of what it is you NEED TO STAY POSITIVE!  Your days will NOT be perfect all the time.  You will have bad days.  You will have bad weeks.  It happens! It's LIFE!  What is most important is that you acknowledge them and move on!

I have been a little too hard on myself this past week with eating, not working out the way I should and not being 100% committed.  Exhaustion along with swollen feet and hands took over.  Frustration set in.  Giving up felt real.  It crossed my mind to just give up and wait until the baby is here and the Dr. clears me to workout again.  I finally had some down time to myself today so I have re committed myself to working out and being healthy!  The struggle is REAL my friends - even for us coaches!  We are JUST LIKE YOU!

You are naughty as my own wife because she is fond of having selfies in such condition and we always enjoy the situation we have in our lives but this is also a panic condition as she screams with the pain and we have to visit Physiotherapy North Ryde to get rid of the pain she has to live a healthy life and have a safe pregnancy till the end.
